Activity Tracker

An Easy Step for Your Employees
The American Heart Association Activity Tracker is a free tool that helps employees make positive lifestyle changes through walking and a better diet. It’s a great way for your employees to track their progress as part of the Walking Program. With the free, online Activity Tracker, your employees can:
- Track their daily physical activity
- Track their daily diet intake
- Use our Google Map-based Walking Paths to find or create walking routes in their neighborhood, around work, and even around their hotel when traveling on business
- Follow a personalized Walking Plan
- Get nutrition and physical activity tips to help them achieve their goals
Implementing this tool is easy and hassle-free for you and your employees. And it provides an effective way to motivate and inspire more thinking about making permanent behavior changes, such as becoming more physically active and eating a healthier diet. Take a look at our 4 Easy Steps brochure. For more details about the Activity Tracker, here is a handy informational guide, plus a sample spreadsheet that you as the HR Delegate/Worksite Wellness Coordinator will be able to access on the On-Demand Reporting Center admin tool.
Getting Started
First, register as your company’s HR Delegate/Administrator by signing up here. (If you already have an account, you may simply log-in here.)
Then send a message to your employees encouraging them to start Walking and start Tracking their activities through the American Heart Association's online Activity Tracker. They just have to set up an account and they’ll be ready to go! (NOTE: A person's email address is his/her unique identifier in the database.)
Are your employees having difficulties accessing the Registration Page? This is likely due to security/firewall settings on your company's computers. Have them use this page as an alternative.
Aside from lowering the risk of heart disease and stroke through a more active lifestyle, your employees can reap whatever rewards you choose to offer.
Unique to other online trackers, our Activity Tracker has functionality that, with the users’ permission, lets you see their progress. This provides you with a great opportunity to offer achievement-based incentives, company-wide recognition or other encouragement. It’s a great way to let your employees know their efforts to become more physically active aren’t going unnoticed.
